パネル写真を見つめて思い出しました。
25年前の1996年の小歩危、大滝でのフリースタイル大会です。オープンでピラニア代表のクレイライトが優勝。ニューボート持参でしたが、oyajiのピラニア、マイクロバット230カスタム（スターンをコーンケープ）カヤックが気に入って乗り換えての優勝。
ジャパンは西嶋jrが優勝。少し前にクリークで首を痛め、試合の時だけギブスを外しての参加でした。
オープン3位はパーセプションのニューフェースのケンホワイト。この時に世話したことで、翌年のカナダ大会でのワールド CH獲得後に来店。一月余りチャペルをベースにサポート、大会参加、観光など一緒に過ごしました。oyajiも若かったし、良い思い出でした。
