昨日は半年振りに歩いてみたくなり、峰床山へ登る。
花背、大悲山下から寺谷川～俵坂峠～林道出会い～八丁平～東尾根～峰床山、帰りは西尾根～逆ルートで戻る。峰床山はローカルながら、京都では皆子山（971メートル）の次に高い山（970メートル）。八丁平（太古の地層が残る、貴重な高原湿原）とセットでのトレッキングで人気あります。
山頂からは、北に天狗岳、三国岳を要する芦生の原生林、東に比良山系の武奈が岳、南に皆子山とほぼ全域を見渡せます。
花背近辺は紅葉真っ盛り、山頂付近はすでに落葉してブナもナラも冬化粧をしている。
4時間程のウォーキングでしたが、良い汗をかきました。
